Hello, readers! I'm back from Langkawi!!!! After five days of rest and photo editing, I'm finally starting to blog :) I wish I started earlier, though..but I haven't gathered photos from other photographers :( Anyway, I can blog about the first few days, so here goes!
19th March
Char and I both booked an Air Asia flight to KL a day earlier, so we don't have to drag our luggages up and down the bus...and FERRY! It was my FIRST time flying!! I thought my first would be to the US, but noooope! Both my first and second were domestic haha I was damn damn damn excited!!..and grateful :)

We intended to share checked baggage weight, but we learned that one trolley bag is about 11kg and we bought only 15kg hahah We had to pay RM75(RM25 if online) for the extra 15kg!!! D: It's okay, we learn from mistakes. In this case, we learnt the expensive way :(
Just printed paper, no ticket..but good enough! :D (Credits to Char)

Our transportation to KL! (Credits to Char)
Mine was supposedly the window seat, but when we got to our seats, an uncle was sitting at MY SEAT! I was like, "Damn you, stupid uncle. It's my freaking first time. Thanks for stealing my seat." It was very narrow, so we didn't make a big fuss la. As least I had Char with me..not just the uncle.
Wheeeeeeee!
As the plane was flying up, it feels like you're going up on a roller coaster! So niceeeee!!!!
We bunked at Char's aunt's villa-like house and we had yummy roasted duck for dinner. Yummmmm! Her aunt and family are very nice people :D
20th March
Woke up really early to start our journey to KLIA to meet the rest of the early birds! On a side note, Char's aunt paid for our taxi fees from her place to KLIA. Craziness! I feel so bad!
Anyway, there were 8 of us(one newbie, seven from previous LIMA) who have been asked to fly to Langkawi two days before the new volunteers arrive to help out with preparations. They flew us. They freakin' flew us to Langkawi via Malaysian Airlines(MAS)!
Met up with Vern, the earliest to arrive, and checked in our baggage!
Flying soooooon! (Credits to Char)
It was fun fun fun because it felt sooo awesome to fly in a gang! The 8 of us were like "Damn, we're awesome!" haha okay, probably just the three of us..but..yeah..
I got my window seat!! Char's seat was just behind mine. My row consists of Amirul, Basyir(newbie) and me! At the beginning of the trip, I was praying so damn hard that I won't be sitting next to Amir because he was damn creepy last LIMA, but after working with him, I notice he grew up! hahaha
Outside my window :D
While they were busy reading, I quickly flip through the magazine and once I'm done with that, whipped out my camera and snap away! Can't blame me, they've flown the skies before haha
We're at sky level :)
Free apple juice and salted peanuts!
Basyir has become one of our good friends since this LIMA. Which reminds me, I found him funny in a way the first time I met him..which was on the plane. Since I had the window seat, I got full view of the outsides..but who doesn't wanna look out, right? I notice when I look out or take photos of the plane's wing, Bash would lean to look out the window.
Obviously, I'm not so bad to hog to entire window, so once I realise he wanted the view too, I leaned back and look at the photos I've taken instead so he can have the window. But this guy here, he must've felt awkward or something that he quickly lean back to his seat too hahahaha This happened several times. In my head, I was like "DUDE! You can have the window! I saw you looking out, now's your chance without my head blocking you. Just LOOOOOK alreadyyy! God!" hahaha All this happened while Amirul dozed off haha

Byeeeeee, Kuala Lumpur!
Flying above the clouds
Hellooooo, Langkawi!
We're flying in Langkawi's sky, people!
TOUCHDOWN!!! It's Langkawi Island!
We were all hoping for official LIMA cars waiting for us at the airport to be driven back to our hotels, but that's just a dream, of course.haha Then, we were joking around, looking for an unfamiliar face holding up a sign for us to identify him..and true enough, an unknown Malay guy held a "HW LIMA" sign hahaha We went O.o LOL
Us, in our van!! I call it ours because we used it for a few days to travel back and forth from our hotel to MIEC. And most of the time, Vern drove..so it's kinda ours XD

I have not introduced to you the guys.. top photo, left to right: Bash, Amir, Amirul(only his head can be seen) and Haqim. Vern sat in front. (Credits to Char)
Since we arrived at about 10.15am, the rooming wasn't ready yet, so we "chilled" under the hot sun at our familiar Sandy Beach.
I'm always finding opportunities to text my baby XD (Credits to Char)

We were required to report for work at about 2.30pm, so for lunch, we decided to head over to Red Tomato for brunch! The 'Best in the World' show featured this cafe once and I Googled it!
I don't have photos of the food as I was not only hungry, but the weather was really hot..so no mood to take photos :( Also, I thought we were gonna head back for dinner some day, but didn't happen :/
Anyway, we had their Eggs Benedict with Salmon and Farmer's Choice with Turkey Ham. I liked both, except the toast that came with both..it was rock hard O.o Not reviewing this time, sadly, because I don't see the point of commenting with no photos :P

Mr. Haswan and Mr. Fairul, in their beachy fashion, drove the van over to pick us up and we're off to MIEC to start work! We were greeted with wooden planks and undone booths in MIEC. Went into the Organiser's Office, met Mr. Ahmad Dzuhri and our boss, Miss Azlin, who gave us six tasks to complete.
Next three days were spent rushing to complete the tasks given. Or we'll be skinned. Alive.
21st March
Office work, office work, office work. Overtime, overtime, overtime. Nothing much to say.
Highlight of the day, other than Michelle's birthday haha....is when we were about to go home, the van went missing!
Apparently, someone borrowed the van, gave the keys back but didn't park the van at the spot where it was. So, we went round in circles in search of the van...and I wasn't in a very good mood as my period was around the corner, plus no one bothered calling Mr. Haswan or Mr. Fairul.
At last, Haqim found the van! It was next to the surau, behind the exhibition hall haha Phew!

Happy to be in the vehicle again! Home timeeeee (Credits to Char)
Don't get too excited about going back to the hotel yet!! The van's fuel indicator was down lowwww and we needed to pump diesel or we'll have to walk back from MIEC haha
It's quite rare to find petrol kiosks around Langkawi, I noticed. Fortunately, Mr. Haswan showed Amir the way to one in some kampung area. One problem though: No one knew how to open the fuel cover!! I don't know how they managed to figure it out, but they succeeded haha
The van shall continue serving us (Credits to Char)
Got back to the motel, decided to put on my mask sheet and sleeeeeeeep.
First to be used- Pomegranate
Oh! Before I end this post, I shall tell you guys about the motel we stayed at. It's also under Sandy Beach Resort(the one we stayed at in 2011), but across the street. The condition was bad, but not toooo bad.. Well, not till the Ministry of Defence(MINDEF) guys came in to stay. Basically, the entire block was filled with guys, except us three. The five of our male colleagues were staying in a house-like room, away from our second-story building room lol
On the first night, Mr. Haswan sent us back and realised that the condition of the place weren't suitable for us. So, he made arrangements to move us out on the 22nd March, when the newbies arrive in Langkawi.
And that concludes the first three days! The volunteers are arriving!!!
